To keep your parasol in top condition, it is important to regularly remove dust and dirt from the cloth. This ensures that the cloth remains beautiful and the parasol lasts longer. We recommend that you only close the parasol when the cloth is dry. A protective cover is essential. It prevents discolouration between the parts that are exposed to the sun and the parts that remain in the shade. This helps to keep the cloth in optimum condition.
Maintenance and cleaning: if you want to thoroughly clean the parasol, use a sponge and a chamois. Start by spraying the parasol with a garden hose. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner or aggressive cleaning agents as these can damage the water and dirt-repellent coating.
Then carefully clean the cloth with a mild cleaning agent, such as our Textile Cleaner (Art. 74968), and lukewarm water. Gently rub the cloth clean and then rinse it thoroughly with a garden hose. Leave the parasol fully open until the cloth is completely dry. Only store it when it is completely dry.
Tip! Remember to always fold the parasol in strong winds or during a downpour or rain shower to prevent damage.
