Maintenance products Polywood

Polywood is a plastic composite (HDPE) that imitates the appearance and structure of wood. Polywood furniture is known for its exceptional durability and excellent resistance to various weather conditions. However, this material, like wood, can warp slightly, which can lead to small irregularities in the surface.

Polywood is a porous material and therefore sensitive to stains and grease. If wine, orange juice or ketchup accidentally ends up on the table top, carefully dab it up and then clean it with lukewarm water. In the case of deep scratches, the polywood can even be lightly sanded in the direction of the grain for a fresh look. The material can discolour due to exposure to the sun. In addition, you should take into account the fact that glassware can act as a lens, which can possibly lead to melting of the polywood. We recommend never placing glassware directly on the table, but using coasters or a tablecloth.

Maintenance and cleaning: use the special Polywood cleaner (Art. 74974) to remove dirt. Spray on, clean with a soft cloth and rinse. For extra protection, use the Polywood protector (Art. 74975).
