HPL stands for High Pressure Laminate, also called laminate or plastic sheet. HPL is a combination of paper pulp and phenolic resin, with a hard top layer of melamine resin. Melamine resin is the hardest made synthetically organic substance. HPL is therefore a very strong material. It can reasonably withstand scratches and higher temperatures. The surface is smooth and non-porous, making it hygienic and easy to keep clean. As a result, HPL is relatively low maintenance.

Maintenance:
Wipe daily with a damp cloth and your HPL table top will stay like new.
